Hawaii Twitter Couple Ties The Knot

leave a comment »

So today I’ve came across this very interesting video while I was doing some research on twitter and wedding.

Apparently these two couples have met at one of the tweetup in Hawaii, and bam! what we’ve got is a wedding of couple that met each other through twitter. The news was so interesting it even caught the attention of KITV news station

After watching the above video, I started wondering if I could actually find that UStream video shown in the news reel, and yup, I present to you, the wedding ceremony of Dallas Nagata White and Ed White (couldn’t ask for a better coverage of the wedding considering how )

Note 1: I couldn’t get the UStream video to embed on WordPress.com blog, so please click on the image, it will take you to the video on UStream

Note 2: The bride Dallas White gave a good detail on how they met within the first 5 minutes of the UStream video below, enjoy!

Oh and here is the link to the wedding photo of that day

I’ve stumbled across this interesting documentary while I was browsing Vimeo, it’s got to be one of the most interesting and original documentary I’ve come across.

And I am glad that M&M have a sense of humor about this whole thing as well 🙂

Great news EVERYBODY!

Head over to Still motion guide to lens for weddings and events page to check out all the juicy details

yesterday we landed in new york for our first stop of the cinema caravan. with that, we are ready to launch our first tutorial – the sm guide to lenses.

thanks to all of our amazing sponsors that have made this trip possible and that have brought this tutorial to you. we have plenty more to come.

first and foremost, thanks to canon live learning for making all of this possible (the bus and all). thanks to manfrotto for being so kind in providing 16 monopods plus tons more gear. thanks to cinevate for the shoulder rigs and atlas camera sliders. thanks to zacuto for the z-finders and DSLR rig. thanks to tiffen/lowel/steadicam for all of their lighting and stabilization support.

we setup for our first workshop tonight and it almost resembled the show floor of BH at times.

let us know what you think. we are happy to answer any questions and we look forward to hitting the road and shooting our next tutorial in chicago.

for those who want to follow along, check out the cinema caravan blog for daily updates. we still have room in a couple workshops for those interested in joining us. you can sign-up here.

I wish this short 5 minutes clip was available when I shot the wedding in May of this year. Oh well, what’s done has bee done, let’s see how we can improve from this point on.
